Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data BeomBot processes, why the data is processed, and how it is handled.
1. Data Controller
The person responsible for the operation of BeomBot and the processing of personal data is:
Sukhjit Multani
Grenzackerstraße 17/1/6
1100 Vienna
Austria
Email: benjamin@opus-host.de
2. Data Processed by BeomBot
2.1 Server Configuration
BeomBot may permanently store Discord server IDs, configured channel and role IDs, welcome and goodbye messages, rule texts, ticket configuration and texts, and enabled or disabled features in its settings file.
2.2 Warnings and Moderation Data
When warning or moderation features are used, BeomBot may store the warned user's Discord ID, the reason, the moderator's Discord ID, and the date and time of the warning.
3. Dashboard and Discord Login
When a user signs in through Discord OAuth, BeomBot temporarily processes their Discord profile, the servers they can manage, a randomly generated session ID, OAuth state information and a Discord access token. Access tokens are used only during authentication and are not stored permanently. A technically necessary session cookie maintains the dashboard login.
4. Tickets
The ticket system may process the ticket owner's and handler's Discord IDs, messages, attachments and other Discord content. Owner and handler IDs may be stored in the channel topic. When a ticket is closed, BeomBot may generate a transcript containing up to the last 100 messages.
5. Logs
If enabled by a server administrator, BeomBot may send moderation and server activity logs to a configured Discord channel. These logs may contain Discord user IDs, usernames, moderation information and actions performed on the server.
6. Purposes of Data Processing
Data is processed to provide BeomBot's features, store server settings, provide moderation and tickets, create transcripts and logs, authenticate dashboard users, determine server permissions, and maintain security and functionality.
7. Legal Basis
Where the GDPR applies, personal data is processed under the applicable legal basis in Article 6 GDPR. Processing may be necessary to provide requested features or based on legitimate interests in providing, securing and administering BeomBot.
8. Data Retention
Server settings and warnings may remain stored while required for their respective features or until removed. Access tokens are not stored permanently. Information held within Discord remains subject to server configuration and Discord's retention practices.
9. Data Sharing
BeomBot does not sell personal data. Data may be processed through Discord where necessary. Server administrators and users with the required permissions may access information in logs, tickets or transcripts.
10. Cookies
The dashboard uses a technically necessary cookie containing a random session ID. It maintains the authenticated session and is not used for advertising or marketing.
11. User Rights
Where the GDPR applies, users may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. Requests can be sent to benjamin@opus-host.de. Users may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
12. Data Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration.
13. Discord
BeomBot is a third-party application for Discord. Discord may independently collect and process additional information. Please also review Discord's Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when BeomBot's features, data processing practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this website.
